Christ came so that we could have an abundant life!
We don't have to be poor or not have what we need to be a Christian. Everything in our life is in abundant supply and we should be always rejoicing over never lacking for anything. What more glory would we be giving to God if we never had to want for anything and had a never ending supply of food, transportation, housing, and everything else we need.
Our earthly father if he's a good father wants all this for us, and how much more does our heavenly Father want us to never have to do without? We can testify of his goodness about how he saved us from sin, but what about the rest of the things he provides for us? Every time we sit down at our table and eat a meal we should be giving thanks to God for the provisions he's made for us.
when we enter His courts with thanksgiving and speak praise to the Lord for what he's doing in our lives, it just makes him want to do even more. He knows our needs and he has promised in his word to provide them IF we ask.
He gives us MORE than we ask. It's pressed down, shaken together and brimming up over the top. He wants us to have enough that we can always give to someone else who has less and bless them so they will praise Him too. The more we're able to receive the more we're able to give. And the more we give the more receive!
I once went to a little church where our quartet was singing and they passed the plate for a mission they were supporting. At first I thought about my lack, I only had about $14 in my bank account, and was a little afraid to give the full amount that I might bounce a check, but the Lord said for me to give even more. So I wrote a check for $15 knowing full well there wasn't enough in my bank account to cover the check, but trusting the Lord to supply the need for me as well as for the mission.
Two days later, a check came in for EXACTLY $150! My husband's insurance had overpaid a trip to the hospital by ambulance. My $15 gift had multiplied by TEN.
God blesses you just like his word says He will. He hasn't failed me yet. Every single time I've done what he commanded of me he's come through right on time to provide my needs and the needs of those he wanted me to help.
How do you manage abundance? LOL YOU don't have to!
Abundance is more than enough. You never have to worry about it. Just pay your bills and take care of someone's need, and He does the rest.
