URGENT PRAYERS NEEDED for KAYLA

Hi everyone,

This is Melanie of Team Kayla posting an urgent request for prayers for Kayla.

I just got off the phone with Julie and sadly it does not appear that Kayla's recent condition is simply a stomach bug.

By the looks of her CT scan this afternoon it looks as if our worst fears are confirmed, the chemo does not seem to be working. Kayla's primary tumor (in her abdomen above her adrenal gland) has grown since her last scan, she now has nodes in her lungs, near her heart and in her liver. He abdomen has grown upwards of 6CM since she was admitted to the hospital a few days ago. The tumors are so large that the are now pressing against her major organs and if this continues there is fear her organs may fail. One of her kidney may already be lost and need to be removed.

Per Julie, Kayla's doctors are at this very moment consulting with top surgeons in the country and other oncologists to determine what the immediate and best course of action is to take. Everyone is currently leaning twords immediate surgery to try and remove as much tumor as possible - since it appears the chemo course she is on is not effective anyway.

Julie was upset as you can imagine, and Jason has also gone to the hospital to be with his girls. Julie will do her best to update later tonight with further details on what the next step will be in the very near future. She suspects Kayla will be in surgery no later than Wednesday or Thursday of this week.

PLEASE PLEASE pray for Kayla. Pray for a miracle for her.

Kayla is receiving some red blood cells and overall is feeling a bit better.
